Strike A Rock Womxns Day 2017 Statement

Womxn’s month is a time not only to reflect on the incredible womxn of the past and celebrate the strength of womxn today, but to recognize that a lot more needs to be done to protect womxn and girls from abuse in all it’s forms, to call out rape culture, to fight for equality and call out white feminism that is not inclusive of the different struggles faced by all womxn across the world, in all our glorious intersections and fluidity.

It’s more than just one month a year, it’s a dedication to unravel the tightly wound noose of patriarchy and very real structural and historic inequalities that keeps us fighting so hard, not because we like the sounds of our own voices, but because it’s necessary to survive.

You’re either a feminist, or sexist. There’s no in between.
